Yee Lee Edible Oils Sdn Bhd (YLEO) is involved in the refinery of palm oil and in the manufacturing of high quality cooking oils, margarine and shortening. It has earned respectable reputation for product innovation and quality-being the first in Malaysia to introduce PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles and non-drip nozzles for its cooking oils. Through years of research and development, it has developed an oil refining process that retains up to 90% of Vitamin E in cooking oil, an achievement that won the recognition of the Swiss Vitamin Institute.

YLEO attained the MS ISO 9001:2000 certification from the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) in 1996 and HACCP certified by Ministry of Health Malaysia since year 2006. These certifications are acknowledgement of its good manufacturing practices and high quality in refining and fractionation of palm oil, processed fat and cooking oil products.

YLEO was awarded Certificate of Excellence under the Brand Excellence category 2009 by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry as part of its brand recognition by consumers. In 2013, YLEO was certified with the National Mark of Malaysian Brand for its major cooking oil products.

Sustainable Palm Oil Policy :

Yee Lee Edible Oils Sdn. Bhd. is one of the leading companies in the processing of palm oil products and manufacturing of cooking oils in Malaysia. Our company is located on 8.62 acres of land at Lot 85, Jalan Portland, Tasek Industrial Estate, 31400 Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. It employs approximately 160 workers.  Our operations include sourcing and processing of raw materials to packing, merchandising, shipping and delivery of edible oil products.

We, Yee Lee Edible Oils Sdn. Bhd. are fully committed to the production of  sustainable palm oil products by implementing all the requirements and principles as stipulated under Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO). We are committed to support and enhance the production of sustainable palm oil by focusing on environmental, social and economic areas and working actively with our stakeholders which include our beloved employees, shareholders/ investors, millers, traders, processors, contractors,  government /local councils, NGOs ( non governmental organizations) , certification bodies, financial institutions and our loyal customers.

We strive to make the following commitments :

1. We are committed to build traceable supply chain from the raw materials to processing and manufacturing of palm oil and palm oil-based products and play an active role to enable traceability of all activities throughout the palm oil supply chain.

2. To source palm oil from substainable sources whereby it fulfills the criteria of :

       a) no conversion of natural forest, protected areas and high conservation value areas after 31^st December 2019;

       b) No deforestation, No Peat and No Exploitation and zero burning.

3. To adhere to fundamental UN Global Compact Principles of Labour and Human Rights. We prohibit any form of discrimination and harassment at workplace and no form of forced or trafficked labour as well as child labour is used.

4. We will also ensure our workers’ health and safety by complying with our occupational safety and health policy, in line with legal requirements.

5. We also respect our community and strive to drive positive social-economic impacts to our society.

We are also committed to continuous improvement in sustainable development by :

       a) Addressing legal non-compliance or buyer specific requirements ;

       b) GHG reduction ;

       c) Wastage avoidance / waste reduction ;

       d) Enhancement of the work environment ( including safety and health aspect)

FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT POLICY : Together we are committed to strive for excellence in compliance with food safety requirements & Malaysia regulations as stipulated in Food Act 1983, Food Regulations 1985 & Food Hygiene Regulations 2009.

FOOD SAFETY OBJECTIVES : Zero case per annum of customer complaint due to physical hazards, microbiological contamination ( E.coli, Coliform, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella ) & heavy metal contamination ( Arsenic 0.1ppm max, Lead 0.1ppm max, Mercury 0.05ppm max, Cadmium 1ppm max & Antimony 1ppm max).
